Start Your Free 30-Day Trial โGoHighLevel shipped over 30 updates between May 16 and May 22, 2026. The headline feature is Company custom values going platform-wide, which finally makes the Company object useful beyond basic record-keeping. Two new AI Agent workflow tools landed as well, and Ask AI picked up full blog generation capabilities.
Here is everything that shipped this week, organized by impact.
The big ones
Company custom values across the entire platform
This is the update that changes how agencies use the CRM.
Company fields, both standard and custom, are now available in the custom value picker everywhere: Workflows, Email Builder, Email Campaigns, Conversations, Documents and Contracts, Bulk Actions, and Conversation AI. Each custom value resolves to the Company associated with the Contact at runtime.
What this means in practice: you can now reference a contact's company name, industry, account tier, contract renewal date, or any custom attribute you have stored on the Company record directly inside your emails, workflow messages, and contracts. Conversation AI can use Company information in its replies. Proposals and agreements can auto-fill with full Company context.
Before this update, getting Company data into automated messages required workarounds. Custom fields on the Contact record duplicating Company data, webhook-based lookups, or manual copy-paste. That friction is gone now.
For a deeper look at how to set this up and three practical use cases, see our Company Custom Values guide.
AI Agent Action: Knowledge Base Search tool
The AI Agent action in workflows can now search your native knowledge base in real time during execution. Instead of cramming every FAQ, pricing detail, and service description into the system prompt (which inflates the context window and hurts accuracy), the agent fetches only the relevant chunks at runtime.
You configure which knowledge bases the agent can search, set a static query or let the AI decide the query dynamically, and control how many chunks it retrieves. This keeps the context window lean, reduces token usage, and delivers more grounded responses.
This is a meaningful step toward AI agents that actually know your business without you having to re-paste everything into every prompt.
AI Agent Action: Update Custom Value tool
The AI Agent can now write directly to custom values inside a sub-account during workflow execution. This replaces complex If/Else trees that previously required dozens of branches just to set values based on conditions like day of the week, contact data, date formatting, or pipeline stage.
Two modes: set the custom value field statically and let the AI decide what value to write, or let the AI decide both which field to update and what to set it to. The second mode handles multi-field use cases where the target depends on context.
Combined with Knowledge Base Search above, AI Agent workflows just became significantly more capable.
Ask AI blog generation
Ask AI can now generate complete, SEO-friendly blog drafts directly from a prompt. Title suggestions, structured headings, long-form paragraphs, multi-language support, and the ability to reference URLs and images for context. You draft in the chat window, edit, and publish without leaving GoHighLevel.
This shipped May 18 and is already available. For agencies producing content for clients at scale, this removes a significant bottleneck.
Chat widget lazy loading
A new "Load on user interaction" toggle delays chat widget loading until a visitor scrolls, clicks, or touches the page. If no interaction happens, it auto-loads after about 8 seconds as a fallback.
This sounds minor, but for agencies managing client websites where page speed directly affects lead conversion and SEO rankings, it is a genuine performance win. The chat widget JavaScript no longer blocks initial page rendering.
Workflow and automation updates
Smoother integration setup with field previews. Integration-powered workflow steps now show required fields upfront in a locked preview state before you connect the account. Clicking "Connect your account" opens the integration setup in a new tab so you do not lose your workflow. This fixes the old problem of discovering a missing integration only after saving.
Math Operation for Company and Custom Object workflows. The Math Operation action now works in company-based and custom object-based workflows. Previously limited to contact workflows. Useful for calculating totals, commissions, or project costs directly inside automations without switching object types.
Forms, surveys, and quizzes
Custom modal height for embedded forms. You can now set a specific modal height for Popup, Polite Slide-in, and Sticky Sidebar embeds. Existing embeds are unaffected unless you add a height value.
Manage Fields shows all form fields. Previously, Manage Fields only displayed fields that had submission data. Now it shows all fields from the form definition, even before any submissions come in. This makes column management much less frustrating during initial setup.
Gradient backgrounds for buttons. Linear, radial, and angular gradient support for form, survey, and quiz buttons. Supports multiple color stops and custom angles.
Custom category content for quiz results. Personality-style quizzes can now show customized content (text, images, videos, CTAs) for each individual category result. The first category acts as a default template to reduce setup time.
Email system
Improved handling for inactive domains. Emails now automatically stop sending if the mapped Campaign Domain becomes inactive or unverified. Failed attempts show a clear error in Conversations instead of silently failing.
Client Portal domain configuration moved. Client Portal email domain setup is now inside the main Domain Configuration page under Dedicated Domain Setup, rather than buried in Notifications. Client Portal emails are still viewable in Conversations.
CRM and integrations
Facebook Lead Ads contact merge by name. The existing "Merge Facebook contacts by name" feature now works for Facebook Lead Form submissions, not just Messenger conversations. Two separate toggles let you control merge behavior independently for each source.
Customize marketing audit report widget fields. Input field labels and placeholder text are now customizable for all fields in the Marketing Audit Report widget (name, phone, email, business, website). Useful for matching widget copy to different campaign audiences.
E-commerce and calendar
Keyboard shortcuts for product image lightbox. Arrow keys navigate between images, Escape closes the lightbox. Auto-focuses on open so shortcuts work immediately.
Rental Listings and Categories in Snapshots. Agencies can now include rental configurations when creating or loading Snapshots, eliminating manual recreation of listings across sub-accounts.
Communities
Share recordings directly as community posts. Meeting recordings can now be shared into a Community channel with a few clicks, without leaving the recordings view.
Earlier in the week (May 13-15)
Several updates also shipped earlier in the week:
SMS and Voice pricing update (May 13). Rates for certain SMS and Voice routes adjusted due to carrier partner pricing changes. Check your account for specific route changes.
Email builder conditional visibility enhancements. More granular control over which email sections show based on contact data.
AUP block notification routing (May 20). AUP block notifications now route to the Agency Owner or Sub-account Admin instead of random recipients.
May 23 additions
Three more updates shipped after the original roundup:
Company Smart Lists
Saved Company views with filters, sorting, export, and sharing. You can now create filtered views of your Company records (e.g., "Enterprise accounts in California" or "Accounts up for renewal this month"), save them, and share them with team members. Think of it as the same Smart List functionality that exists for Contacts, now available for Companies. Combined with this week's Company custom values update, the Company object is becoming genuinely useful for B2B workflows.
Email domain send protection
GoHighLevel now automatically stops sending emails from domains that become inactive or unverified. Previously, emails would silently fail or bounce if a mapped Campaign Domain lost its verification. Now the system catches this proactively, surfaces a clear error in Conversations, and prevents deliverability damage from piling up failed sends against an invalid domain.
Client Portal domain consolidation
Client Portal domain setup has moved from its previous location inside Notifications to the main Domain Configuration page under Dedicated Domain Setup. No functional change, just a more logical home. Client Portal emails remain viewable in Conversations.

What to watch next week
GoHighLevel has announced an AI Employee plan update coming May 26. Details are sparse, but given the pace of AI Agent improvements this week, expect changes to how AI features are packaged or priced. We will cover it as soon as it drops.
